Im booking a cruise on expedia. in the standard cabins it says up to 2 people but then it says can sleep 3 to 4 people so which is it. If I booked it for 4 people would they take that into account when assigning cabins to passengers. I had a Ocean view cabin before and saw the two bunk beds that fold out of the wall so i assume that is what is meant by up to 3 or 4. Do all rooms on carnival have those foldable bunk beds in the inside cabins? Thanks for any help I know confusing question....

  1. it all deppends on how many people you book if its two it will not have the fold down beds but if you book 3 it will hav one fold down or a pull out sofa and 4 will have 2 pull downs

  2. Because you didn't mention which cruise you booked on Expedia site so I can't give you specific information. Anyway, just give you a brief and general info I know:

*Carnival Ecstasy Cruise: has19 interior upper/lower beds (cat: 1A 4A 4B 4C 4D 4E ) with total about 185 square feet. I assume that for 2 or 4 pax, it will be the same size. Oceanview cabins also have the same sqft and normally they don't have upper/lower beds for this cat.

    Hope it helps.

  3. most rooms will have pull down bunks, but the ocean views are bigger than the inside rooms so they will hve 2 pullouts. it is very very tight though, see if can hvae 2 per room, you will be much more comfortable.

  4. Actually, there are plenty of different size cabins & they vary tremendously in price. First off, if you're booking for two, then the smaller inside cabins are plenty large enough. Don't book a cabin for two & try to fit a third or fourth passenger. These are basically only large enough if you have two additional small children.

The cabin size can start at an hotel room size all the way up beautful large suites that you'd find at an exclusive hotel.

If you're really concerned about cabin size & amenities then I would definitely book your trip with Royal Caribbean. I've booked Caribbean cruises & I know that Royal Caribbean has contracted with the American Hotel chain "Hyatt Hotels" to design their cabins & suites.

If you don't know Hyatt has some of the best hotel rooms & hotel chains worldwide. I've heard from plenty of clients that the Royal Caribbean cabins are by far the best. You'll have know trouble with cabin size on Royal Caribbean.

If I were you I would search for the website www.royalcaribbean.com & look at the photos they have of their cabins. You can decide for yourself when you see the photos. FYI, all the Cruise Ships have websites so you can check out all those photos of the cabins.

Finally, expedia has their own website & you can find their icon that will show you photos for about everything you need to know about cabin size. Make sure you check the price of the cabins & sometimes they will offer a free upgrade into a larger & better cabin. Have Fun!!!
