Cabins near a Lake, somewhere to camp out?

Okay, my family and I that consist of two daughters and me(mom) want to go like camping and satying in a cabin or soemthing nice, we have never done this so i want it to be a very nice experience.. I live in New York City and would wantt something I could travel to nothing fall like in another state, something like NJ or Upstate would be nice..

Does or has anyone else gone camping before? Like to camp out or something, I would want something to ourselves, not something that I'm going to be making a fire with other people..

OR is there any other activites to do with the family of girls :)

Also click on Map quest For your state every one top of page type in camping /w/cabins or rentals add state searching it's a great place to get info Don't for get when you make up your mind research your area before going on wild life encounters just to be safe.
