  1. I have U-verse and am happy with it.

    Some thoughts on U-verse...

    - The DVR is free

    - All boxes are HD

    - Picture is probably about the same as cable/sat (Good, but not blu-ray)

    - You can show Flickr Photos on your TV

    - U-verse seems to have a lot of HD channels.  (Go to uverse.att.com and look for the channel guide to find what the HD channels are in your area)

    - U-verse never has issues with rain

    - "Coming Soon" Whole Home DVR - View DVR recordings on any box in your home.

    But...

    - You can only have one DVR - But Whole Home DVR will help eliminate this issue.

    - You are limited to 2 HD streams and 2 SD streams at one time.  (You can watch live or record up to 2 HD programs at a time (in addition to 2SD)... With 3HD TVs you can not watch 3 different live HD shows at one time (note if 2 of the TVs were on the same show that would be ok, or if you were watching a previously recorded program on the DVR, that would also be ok)

    - Right now Video On Demand is not in HD with U-verse.  Pay per view may be, I never watch Pay per view.

I had Dish... some thoughts on it...

    - Good number of HD channels, but less than U-vese

    - Multiple DVRs (if you want to pay for em)

    - Every box can watch a separate HD channel.

    But...

    - Issues with heavy rain

    - DVR can record 2 programs (3 if you record off air) at once, U-verse can record 4 (2SD 2HD).

    - Very limited Video - On - Demand (Though they have Pay Per View)

Some time ago I had TimeWarner.

    - No Rain Issues

    But...

    - DVR could record/watch only 2 programs at a time, and the software was poor (but that was a while ago)

All in all, U-verse is the best I have had.

    I hope this helps!

  2. cable bad

uverse does not have the ability to steam more than 2 HD channels at once.but the on demand service is the best ever. I can see all my fav showtime seriers when I want, plus the main dvr box records up to 4 streams at once.

for satellite dish network turbo HD
