Question:

Cable TV jack broke any workaround?

The cable TV jack on the back of my brothers TV broke off. The TV itself is a good TV only 2-3 years old, but past warranty. Is there a adapter or box to run cable from the wall into the s-video or component video (yellow, red, white) female jacks on his tv which are still fine and work? It would probably have to be a box so you could change channels on the box while remaining on the video 1 or 2 channel on the TV.

I realize this may not be possible, I did search the net before asking. So if it isn't possible what would be a reasonable price to pay to get it repaired?

  1. How about a VCR that will do exactly what you are asking for. Only the electronics portion of the VCR needs to work so you can probably find one at a garage sale or flea market for next to nothing.

The cable from the wall will go into the antenna in and the Video/audio output goes to the TVs video input.

Change the channel with the VCR.
