Cable for connecting my PC to my TV?

hi, I would like to connect my pc to my tv and use the tv as a monitor. is there a cable for sale that will allow me to do this. My tv has only a scart socket by the way, thanks

  1. It uses the same cables as a PC monitor. Other than that you could install a composite video card in your PC to connect to the TV video input (yellow) where a PlayStation video plug would normally go.

    I had a company Lap Top with the yellow plug composite video output. I would play DVDs on the laptop and watch them on TV by plugging into the yellow video input plug where video game cables go.


  2. If your pc has a TV out socket on the graphics card you just need to get a scart lead with a plug matching the tv out socket.

    If your pc does NOT have a TV out socket you need to change the graphics card for one capable of sending signals to your tv

    Make sure you know what type of socket you have coming out of your pc - some are S-video, some are RCA type (phono) sockets

  3. Check tv manual if it was made for pc it should have a pc inlet
