  1. Try tpg..

Dont even consider telstra.. Too many problems.

  2. I definitely know that both Optus & Telstra provide cable internet in Sydney.

Not all areas can have cable internet though.

My advise is give them both a call to discuss areas where cable is available, you could also ask any other questions you might have such as contracts and pricing.

    TELSTRA: 13 7663, 13 POND

    www.telstra.com.au

    OPTUS: 133 345

    www.optus.com.au

  3. Well Telstra and Optus are the leading provides of cable broadband, but up until now Optus was providing much better plans than Telstra.  Are you also looking for phone? Is phone important for you?  Because I believe Optus provides a better package of internet and phone though catered to people who are regular phone users.  Other than that Optus cable and Telstra cable are very similar, both their uploads now count.

Why not adsl2+? faster and roughly the same price - bang for your bucks and you either get equal amount of usage or more.

If you Are interested in adsl2, get a Homeline budget landline from Tesltra which is about $19.95 monthly and get TPG Adsl2 which is about $49.95 for a 30gigabyte plan.

  4. I have Optus they also give free security. It does depend on what area you live in, not all areas have cable.

    Phone no 133 066
