Question:

Cable internet?

Iv just used the postcode checker on the Virgin media site and it said i live in a non- cable area.

Is there anyway to get cable installed as i get really poor internet speed on my BT telephone line which is painstakingly slow. And i can't get over 1meg on my line.

Or would my best bet be to move house? XD

thank you.

  1. Moving the house sound like a last resort...

If you have a laptop I would say you could get a mobile broadband card for it. That's what I did when I lived with my parents. Seemed to work well as long as you had a cell phone signal.

  2. If cable is not on your street then you can't have cable TV or Internet. You can't install cable for one individual house.

  3. You can still get Virgin Internet but via the telephone line.  However this would presumably still be affected by the quality of your (BT) line.
