Excluding pay per view and on demand, which has more HD channels, satelite or comcast?

i would say go with cable. the way that satelite make is sounds is that they have over 100 channels in HD. Well the channels that they have in HD may only have 1 hour of HD programming. Where the cable HD channels are 24 hours of programming. You have to sign a contract with satelite and if the weather is bad you have no tv! i say go with cable!

Well now satellite TV is offering almost 100 chnls HD... cables just offers some and some other not.

I think even mother nature is against satellite TV cables will not get even close. Remember that technology is satellites and information is more updated and faster.

Im my country sataelite have more HD chanels. But the real problem at satelite is that there is more scrumbled chanels, and chanels that you do not understand, like indians, japanise, or korean, mostly asian.

Without a doubt Satellite has more HD, but not just any Satellite,  DirectTV has more than anyone else at the moment.

Also, ignore all those "when it gets cloudy my TV won't work" people.  It's nowhere neaqr as bad as all the cable funboys make it out to be.  I've been a subscriber for 7years now in a area prone to T storms and I can count on one hand the number of times my Sat has gone out more than a minute or two due to weather.  It has to be raining EXTREMELY hard for it to go out completely.

czable, satilites reception hinges on the weather, i had a dish for 6 mohs and everytime it got cloudy, raied, snowed ect i lost my signal, i call led my provider and they tod me that weather donidtions determineif i got a signal if it wasreal cloudy or raning i always lost my signal for anywherefrom 5 minutre to 5 houes, your cable my be more but everyoner is going or has gone digital so that is not an issue now, save youself aggrivation and go with cable any tech issues they handle with adish you have to wait for the weathet to clear up
