What are some ways I can connect my brand new TV to my cable outlet without connecting the cable directly to the TV. In other words, is there a way I can connect cable to my TV with the use of an HDMI or other fancy cable type (like the five white cable things most store-display TV.

  1. HDMI is the best....

    http://www.monoprice.com

Search for HDMI 1.3a cables....now ANYBODY can afford HDMI and get the best version !

Next is the COMPONENT cables....you lose a little bit of detail in the picture, but it's only noticeable when its side-by-side with an HDMI picture....

    Same place, different search.....

  2. Um, yes but you need an HD box from your cable company. You need one anyway, you cannot get HD from most cable systems off of a coaxial cable straight out of the wall anyway. Call your cable provider and see about getting a Digital HD box, then you can worry about cables to connect it to your TV.

  3. In descending order of picture quality from greatest to least.  HDMI/DVI, Component Video, S-Video, Composite Video, Coax.  You will simply need a set top box from your cable company, preferably an HD box to take advantage of the high definition capability of your new TV.
