is there a way to get tv stations without paying for cable?

  1. well actually have you heard about the digital tv signal switch thats coming up on feb 2009.

    basically stations will be broadcasting only in digital and from all the reading that ive done going digital makes it possible for 1 station to brodcast other sub channels.  if you like in a metropolitian area you might get a decent amount of channels.

    you will need to get a converter box they go for 60 bucks at best buy but you can go online and get a 40 dollar coupon toward the purchase and it takes about a week to get.

    check it out when you get some time.


  2. Yes, you can split into your neighbors cable line.

    Pick up a cable splitter at home depot, radio shack etc, and then find where your neighbor's cable line goes from the box to his house, dig it up and attach the splitter, then run the second line back to your house.

  3. yes, just use an antenna til next feb. when the analog signal is shut down, then you will need cable or digital signal converter
