Cabo Activities?

I was wondering what are some things me and my friends can do while there besides going out. What is the club scene like/music? What is the tipping etiquette I know we are going to be staying in an all inclusive but I feel we should tip. Also should we book activities online?

  1. Good choice, Cabo is a very cool little town. I know that the fishing is excellent and I would also look into the whale watching if it is the right time of year. The most annoying part are all of the "welcome booths" set up to get you to sign up for activities and time share tours. They are all over the place; just keep on walking. Cabo Wabo is a must and actually serves a good filet!

I frequent all-inclusives and definitely believe in tipping. We Will leave a few bucks for the buffet, at least $10 at the a la carte restaurants and it will serve you well to hand a bartender a $20 at the beginning of your trip; you will not be forgotten. We also leave a few bucks each day for the maids.

  2. Hola!  There is so much to do in Cabo for all people.  Its hard to list them all but here's some ideas...

Most like to take in 1 activity that is relatively expensive....i.e. swim with the dolphins, go fishing, or go for a spa treatment, whale watching, maybe a ultralight flight, that kind of thing.

Then there are the "get out of the all-inclusive and do something" types...you can do sightseeing etc...shopping for souvenirs, checking out the marina malecon, eating at great restaurants, maybe taking a boat cruise out to chileno bay or santa maria for a snorkeling day.  You might even get to see turtles hatch or maybe take in the clubs downtown at night, or try a sport you've never done before like sea kayaking or parasailing or jet ski.

Then there are excursions out of town, checking out the art galleries in todos santos, or going on an zip line over an arroyo, learning to surf in san jose del cabo or going to SJD to see their art district or shop in the all the trendy little shops in the main zocalo, or maybe a tour of the cactus gardens.

Most activities are easily planned once you are in Mexico.  Booking online is a good option if you want to make sure you are guaranteed.  Check out the website www.loscabosguide.com  for all the companies that offer tours.    Also, check with your resort, they may have discounts/coupons.

Tipping is always recommended.  But don't go overboard.  Like the other guy said, if you tip good right off you won't be forgotten.  Most of the resort workers make about $4 a day...so tips are very appreciated.
