Cabo (Mexico)?

Question

Looking to stay this summer at Cabo San L. Mexico, I would to stay at a resort where you can swim in the ocean. Any sugguestions?

I just came back from Cabo about 10 days ago.  I stayed at the Fiesta Americana Hotel and Resort.  It was nice.  It felt like heaven.

The Riu Palace is a great all inclusive resort...I am a travel agent and many clients have loved this property.

When I went to Cabo I stayed at a private house. It was beautiful. It was in the pedergal (which has it's own private beach). The house also has a pool--which is nice because it's completely private. It was only about $300 a night and had enough beds to sleep about 4 couples--and only $37.50 per person... The house was beautiful. The website is WWW.CASAROSAVILLA.com! Seriously, the nicest place to stay in Cabo! I slao saw Madonna when I was there, she stayed like 5 houses down from where we were at!!

Hola!  Since the Los Cabos area is on a thin pennisula, all the resorts are located on the beach.  There are lots of them.  To narrow down which one would be perfect for you, I need to know the following:

What is your price range?  Do you prefer all-inclusive or spa or economical?  Are you planning to rent a car?  What kind of activities do you enjoy doing?   Do you prefer peaceful relaxing or wild and crazy?

Just a quick note, many people are not aware that in Cabo, we are nothing like the caribbean.  The pacific ocean has some strong currents, rip tides, undertow and during windy weather, can be a bit rough.  We do have some beaches that are calmer and bathtub like, but they are in sheltered bays all along the pennisula.  Some of the resorts are on beaches that can be unswimmable some times of the year.  They (the resorts) make up for this by providing amazing pool areas.

The ones dowtown are some of the best! Villa del Arco, Villa del Palmar, Villa La Estancia, Pueblo Bonito Rose, Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos, Me by Melia or Cabo Villas. Or on the corridor, the only ones that you can swim on the beach are Melia Cabo Real or Hilton. Or One and Only Palmilla, that one is the best and most expensive! Have fun!
