  1. Hello cabochick,

well we're staying at Villa del Arco, we've stayed there before so I know we can walk into town cause its not that far, but we're taking the kids this time so I'm worried about them walking in the heat.. but let me know what suggestions you have.. like if we should rent a car.. thanks!

  2. Hola.  Please read Bluecabo's response above.  It isn't really a strike per sey, but it was easier to call it that than explain the whole thing!

Please don't let this influence your holiday.  You will have a fabulous time in Cabo and if you could tell me where you are staying I could give you examples of how to get around this silly protest...(I mean I give them props, they really figured out a way to hold the whole industry hostage - but their high rates started this in the first place).

  3. It isn't a taxi strike, it's exactly the opposite.

They want the whole transportation business for themselves. What they are doing, is stopping private transportation companies to pick people out from the hotels, so you must take a taxi.

That happen even if your package includes transportation from and to your hotel. The transportation companies will take you to your hotel, but on the way back, the taxis won't let them take you back to the airport, so you will have to pay again to the taxis, just because they have the law in their side.
