Cabo San Lucas or Punta Cana?

Question

My Fiance & I are trying to plan a trip to ONE of these places in the beginning of September. Although we're not sure where to go. Any ideas or suggestions? Pro's/Con's welcome also.

Hola.  No offence but a resort is a resort is a resort.  Even though Cabo is mexico and punta cana is DR, you will find the same in food, beaches, shopping and entertainment anywhere you go.  So, pick your poison and go.  You will have a fabulous time and come back with great memories.

p.s. September in both the Caribbean and Pacifc Oceans are prime hurricane seasons.

I have been to Cabo several times and LOVE it there. I would definatly choose Cabo over Cancun, although Cancun is nice too!

go to cabo!! its soo much fun! i went there this last xmas and it was a blast!!! you will really enjoy it...so pretty! great memories

First... I know you know but maybe not all know... Punta Cana is NOT in Cancun lol.

It depends on what you're looking for, both are VERY different, you have dessert and pacific ocean at Cabo and a tropical town with the caribbean sea on Dominican Rep. it also depends on the date you're traveling on, I like Cabo a lot from march untill novembre, but from december 'till february it's kinda cold for me (I live in Mexico city), so if you're traveling in winter I would recommend Punta Cana, any other month I would say go to Cabo, it is very beautiful and relaxing.

Cabo is beautiful.  I stayed in The Fiesta Americana Grand Hotel from March 5Th to the 9th.  The Hotel and Resort was wonderful, not to mention the food.  I'm not a big Mexican food eater but since I was in Mexico, it was truly authentic. The Staff was great and than Downtown Cabo was really a beautiful experience.  Everyone was friendly.  You also need to check out La Panga Restaurant.  Talk about Heaven on a fork.  I gained 5 pounds on my trip but it was worth it.
