Cabo San Lucas vs. Cancun: how to choose?

This is really a message for Drew Tease who answered this question.  I assume you meant Manzanillo when you visited.  I'm just curious how you saw the sunrise on the horizon when Manzanillo is on the west coast.  You can see the sunset, but not the sunrise on "the horizon".  What a dork.

Depending on where you live. Do you live near Cancun or do you live near Cabo? This will mean a difference in airline tickets. However, Cabo is more resort like than Cancun, therefor Cabo is a little more expensive than Cancun.

I would suggest for you to go to Cozumel or Manzanilla, they both have beautiful beaches and a lot cheaper than Cabo or Cancun.

When I went to Manzanilla in 2004, I was on a ship and it was sunrise, I saw the horizon and saw birds flying and diving kamikaze like to hunt for fish. Cozumel, was beautiful too. It has one of the most clear beaches and the view from top of the hill overlooking the ocean is amazing.

well from personal experience:

cabo: much more expencive than cancun and you WONT find a nice all inclusive resort (meaning you get free food and unlimited drinks) unless you pay much much much more. cabo is more laid back than cancun.

cancun: most of the resorts are all inclusive. its not as expensive as cabo. way more partying in cancun than cabo.

both: they are both good for adults and kids, they both have great beaches. i have been to both and if i had to pick a favorite i would say cancun. because cancun is less money, unlimited drinks and food, great beach, and you can either stay on the resort or you can go party!
