Cac you recomend a hotel in Cancun or around Cancun?

there are soooo many hotels there, wow.

anyways, i stayed in one called park royal. it was pretty cool, we had our own jacuzzi haha and it was really close to this shopping mall/center called "la isla" or something like that. and there was this beach behind it, all in all i liked that hotel a lot, so you might want to check it out.

but when we were being driven to the hotel, my dad asked the driver about his favorite hotels, and he said the hyatt cancun caribe. so you can check that out too.

One idea is to stay about 40 minutes away from Cancun in Playa Del Carmen. The hotels inside Cancun are expensive. You can take the Riviera Bus for $6.50 US from Cancun airport to Playa. From there it's only a short ride from the bus station to your hotel. Playa is a small area, I think it's only over 1 mile long from end to end.

The hotels in Playa are smaller, but much more reasonable. The service is more intimate because you don't have the frenetic atmosphere. I'm staying at Fiesta Banana at $55/nite starting next week. They offer side trips to Xcaret and Chichen Itza at reduced rates. They also offer free water bottle refills.

Another idea is to hop around and enjoy the Mexican Riviera. Spend 2 nights in Cancun, 2 nights in Playa, and a few nights on the beautiful island of Cozumel. This might be too much work but you could divvy it up at your choice.

The public transportation system in Cancun is top notch. It's cheap to get around by bus. Use the Collectivo to get from Playa to Cancun for as little as $4. The Collectivo is like a mini-van which holds 5-6 people. It's the cheapest way to get around by far.

I have stayed at Intercontinental hotel and it was really nice. Is close to the main part of Cancun, specially coco bongo (8 min walking) and also it has a super market almost in front from the hotel, so you can buy cheap food and water.

If you have the money I would recommend you the RIU hotels, which are all inclusive and you dont have to worry about the food since its free. Also there are a lot of good chain hotels like marriot, hilton and starwoods. All of them really luxury hotels.

I guess it really depends on your taste and how much you want to pay.

I've been quite a few times and have stayed at the Marriott Casamagna, J.W. Marriott, and the Fiesta Americana all of which were nice and have good rates. Also, if you're going to party you must go to Daddy O's and Coco Bongo!!!
