  1. You can do pretty well for a 14 year old. The secret is to know the course inside and out, and to give good advice. It helps to be a fairly good golfer yourself, but it isn't really necessary. A lot of caddying is luck, too - if your guy wins you usually get a larger tip. It's a fun job. Go for it.

  2. It varies from club to club how much you will make.  When I first started caddying (1965) we only got $3.50 for 18 holes plus tip (usually .50 to $1.00) at a very exclusive private club.  Nowadays at the same club kids get $50 for 18 plus tip.  But as you get better you start carrying double (and earning double).  Depending on how long the season is where you live you should easily make $5000 over a summer.

  3. I caddied for 5 years and depending on how often you go you can make quite a bit of money. At a lot of country clubs I know, there is a set fee for how much you make per loop and you get an additional tip on top of that. I'd say you can make anything between $20-$45 a round. When really big tournaments happen, you make at least $100-$150 in a day. If you really caddie a lot you could make more than $1000 each summer. And if you stick with it for awhile you could even get a full ride scholarship from caddying like I did. The more you know about golf, the bigger tips but the biggest thing is to pay attention, know where all of the players' balls are at any point, and get the pin.

  4. That will depend on how good a caddie you are.  I would expect you would make 35-50 dollars per bag per 18 holes.  You dont need to be a good golfer to be a great caddie. Keep their ball clean, give them a good accurate yardage, and my favorite- show up, keep up, shut up. You'll do fine.

  5. The course will pay you I'm pretty sure minimum wage, and if you are a large help on course to your (golfer) you could make a lot from them.

  6. The course will pay you a flat fee for the bag and then the golfer is probably going to give you a tip. If its an upscale club, they will usually double whatever the club is giving you (so if you make 25$ for the bag from the club, they will give you another $25). It also depends on how much you work. Caddies can make their own hours, so if you are a hard worker, the money is out. A little advice though, don't give advice unless the guy asks for it. Mast of the better golfers aren't going to want advice from a 14 year old, regardless of his skill as a golfer. Some of the worse players might want you opinion on reading greens. I like how one of the answerers put it, keep up and shut up.

  7. You'll probably get about $30 a bag. Just know all the course secrets, so you can give the best advice to your person!
