What is the difference between a cadet and a constable?

  1. There can be the normal issue of one who is in training (cadet) to the one who has completed the training, and is now a sworn officer.

    OR, here in the US in some states there are Constables who are NOT police officers but are officers of the court, who serve court documents on individuals.

    Just thought I would through THAT monkey wrench out there!


  2. A cadet is just that, a CADET. They are in the process of becoming officers, and are in the learning stages of things.

    A constable is a fully trained and sworn peace officer, with full powers of arrest, can carry a weapon, issue citations, the whole nine yards.
