has anyone stayed there wheres best to stay and whats to do there

It's a beautiful place, but if I were you, I'd stay in the town of Sánlucar, 20 miles from Cadíz. It's less touristic and even more so beautiful. It's also more Spanish.

I recommend the Hotel 'Santa María'. It is only 3 star (but it doesn't seem it), but it's right in the city centre off the main square (plaza), and although it's quiet, within 2 minutes, you will be where the centre of the action is!
