Cafepress designs and image ownership/rights?

If anyone has experience with cafepress can you please tell me who owns the rights to the images after I upload them and sell them on the site.

Say I made a logo for the shirt, do I keep rights to the logo or does cafepress now own the logo?

I'm wondering if I decide to take down a few images and then start selling them on my own do I still have ownership of the ideas/designs.

Many thanks ahead of time.

  1. You own the design.  Its the law.

Cafe Press takes a cut of the finished product for material and costs, and, of course, their profit.  It's there in black and white, somewhere, along with a remedy for  someone on the site plagiarizing  or stealing  your work.

  2. They are your designs so you can sell them with out issue. BUT when signing up for Cafe press you are allowing them to use your work in anyway they would like. meaning, if they still have your images some where and someone finds them, they could continue to print them and make money off of it. This is what allows them to originally put  your image on mugs, and shirts and keep some of the profit.

I would suggest not using Cafepress if you are using your own work and want to sell it on your own. You don't want other people making money off of your hard work
