Cafeteria server job?

hi, i saw an advertisement saying that they need school cafeteria servers.. are there any types of experience they REQUIRE you to have before they'll hire you? i worked as a concessionist at a movie theater for a little bit, but that's the only experience in that kind of food stuff that i have.

  1. If you generally exude all-round confidence then this will shine out when you go for your interview. For a job like this all you need to know is that you know where you stand, what you're doing, know you can do it and communicate with the people you'll be interacting with.

    Having voluntarily participated in social activities and various catering houses since I was about 8 or 9, I can tell you cafes normally look out for people who their customers would deem pleasant and patient. Experience is not that necessary as long as you can display an intrinsic insistence to do what you have to do properly and enjoy it at the same time.

  2. Knowledge of basic sanitation procedures and a good personality is important. If you are dealing with high school kids it helps to know how to interact with that age group. They will push you buttons until they decide you are okay.

    It's an entry level job but it can be fun and if the school is large enough there could be room for advancement if you are interested.
