Question:

Caffeine turning my teeth yellow?

ive always had perfect teeth, never had any work done, always been white and straight & strong etc..

anyways im 15 & every morning im REALLY tired at school unless i drink 1-2 mugs of tea or coffee. Since ive been doing this my teeth have started to feel slightly weaker, and have become slightly discoloured. Im really worried that a combination of the hot liquids and the the colours of the tea & coffee are ruining my teeth. Does this affect your teeth and is there anything you can do to stop it? Like drinking tea through a straw or something? HELP!!

thanks,

lily :)

  1. Your teeth will get stainned with any dark liquid drink like coffee, wine, and coke.  A denist will always say dont drink coffee or soda since they will stain teeth or in the case of coke, it can actualy start breaking the teeth down.  If you ever get your wisdom teeth pulled, put it in a cup of coke.  By moring there will be no tooth.

  2. This is a nice generic question. Why don't you post this question at www.identalhub.com. They have dentists who offer Free Dental Consultation. Here is the link
