Cagliari have confirmed the signing of striker, David Suazo, from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrea-Lazzari-c5687 to Fiorentina.
Suazo had a torrid time in the 2010/11 season on-loan at Genoa, as he managed to score only 3 goals in 10 appearances for the club. The 31-year-old has re-joined his beloved club after four years.
The Honduran international has had an unsettling time since leaving the Isolani for Inter in 2007. The striker failed to make an impression at San Siro and after just one season, he has constantly been loaned out to other clubs.
He spent the 2008/09 campaign on-loan with Benfica, while spent the last season at Genoa.
Suazo has rejoined the club, where has spent the most successful time of his career from 1999 to 2007. The striker has agreed to join on a one year contract with an option to extend in the future. The 31-year-old scored 94 goals
in 255 appearances for the Rossoblu in his first stint with the club.
On the other hand, Cagliari President, Massimo Cellino, has confirmed the departure of talented midfielder, Andrea Lazzari, to Fiorentina with a heavy heart. The chief is immensely disappointed with the departure of his prized
asset and believes that it is a shame to lose such a talented player and a wonderful person. However, he added that he will not stand in the way of the midfielder and will give him the opportunity to play for a bigger club.
Talking to the reporters Cellino said, “On the one side I am happy to give Andrea this great opportunity, but on the other it’s a shame to lose such a talented and lovely guy. I handed him over with a heavy heart, because I am
fond of him and he is a fantastic player. I’ll also confirm he turned down several clubs, including Milan in January.”
The 26-year-old has been linked with the Viola for the past few weeks and he has been considered as an ideal replacement for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 recently.
