The Isolani General Manager hails Juventus for their cooperation in the Belgian’s transfer negotiations and reveals an informal agreement with the Turin giants
Cagliari general manager, Francesco Marroccu, is delighted to keep hold of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radja-Nainggolan-c30301, at the end of the January transfer window.
Nainggolan was heavily linked with a move to Juventus Stadium throughout the winter transfer window, and the Turin giants also enquired about the midfielder’s services. The Belgian international has been in sensational form throughout
the season, and has attracted interest from host of clubs across Europe.
Marroccu is happy to see the midfielder continue playing for the Rossoblu, and hailed his professional attitude during the whole transfer scenario. He admitted that the 23-year-old never asked for a transfer and was happy to stay
at Stadio Sant’Elia.
The general manager revealed that Cagliari have a truce with Juventus that they will sell the midfielder to them if they intend to cash in on him in future. However, he insisted that there is no official agreement in place, and
they will analyse the situation in the summer.
The Rossoblu chief also hailed the Bianconeri management for their cooperation and insisted that they did not pressurize them to sign the versatile midfielder.
While talking to the reporters, Francesco Marroccu said,
“Nainggolan has never expressed a desire to leave. The President has a pact of honour with Marotta and Juventus, but there is no final agreement, nothing set for definite, before June so many things can change.”
“The goal of Cellino was to retain Nainggolan at Cagliari. Juventus were entirely proper with us, you must give credit to the Bianconeri’s management.” Added the general manager
Marroccu also declined rumours that his club had a deal in place with Juve which would have given him Cesena’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Parolo-c23723 in return for Nainggolan.
“With Cesena player there was the usual scouting, but nothing concrete.”
Cagliari have had a topsy-turvy 2011/12 campaign so far, and are placed 14th in the league table with 23 points from 20 matches played thus far.
