Massimiliano Allegri’s men are looking to extend their unbeaten run to 11 games and also eye the top spot. Christian Abbiati returns for the Champions.

A.C Milan will travel to Sardinia to take on Cagliari in the Matchday 17 encounter of the 2011/12 Serie A season on Tuesday, 20 December 2011.
Massimiliano Allegri will take on his former employers in a bid to continue his team’s impressive form in the league. Milan find themselves only two points adrift of league leaders, Juventus and a win at Stadio Sant’Elia will move
them to the top for at least 24-hours.
After a wonderful start to the season, Cagliari have continued to struggle in their recent league matches and find themselves 12th in the table.
Cagliari
The Rossoblu have not been consistent this season and have won only four of their 15 league matches played thus far. The Sardinians have won only one out of their last 10 league games and will be looking to go into the winter break
with a confidence boosting win over the Champions. The host’s have been poor in-front of the goal this season and have netted only 12 times thus far.
The Isolani have suffered a defeat in all of their last five meetings against the Rossoneri. The corresponding fixture of the last season finished 1-0 in favour of the Italian Champions.
A.C Milan
Milan are in a superb run of form and have lost least number of games this season. They have suffered only two defeats in the 2011/12 campaign and both have come away from home. The Rossoneri are desperate to go into the New Year
on top of the table.
Massimiliano Allegri will be happy with his team’s recent performances against the Islanders but he will not take the opponent for granted.

The striker has missed a couple of matches through injury but he is set to feature against the Rossoneri. Conti is the highest goal-scorer for the Rossoblu this season and has netted three goals thus far. The striker will need
to carry the goal-scoring burden on his shoulders if the team wants to end the season on a high.

The Swede poses the main threat for the opposition. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan striker has scored 10 league goals thus far, which is only two less than Cagliari have scored this season. His partnership with Robinho is one of the best
in the world and the duo can torment any opposition on their day.
Prediction
Given Milan’s impressive record against Cagliari in the past, they are expected to march onto a comfortable win. Verdict: 2-0
