Cahala Dancer likely to win Betfair Don´t Settle For Less Handicap
Cahala Dancer has a very good chance of bringing up her first ever victory in the Betfair Don´t Settle For Less Handicap at Brighton in England on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. The winner of the class-6 event will be awarded a cash prize of £1,617.
The stamina of all runners will be put to a test, as they will have to cover an overall distance of 1 mile, 1 furlong and 209 yards. The going will be good to firm and the action is scheduled to start at 16:00 GMT.
A total of 12 runners have lined up for action in the race and their names are as follows: Lord Of The Storm, Cahala Dancer, Penang Cinta, Resplendent Alpha, Wind Star, So Is She, Celtic Charlie, Corrib, Dichoh, Potentiale, Prince Namid and Prince Of Thebes.
Although the bookies have given the best odds to Lord Of The Storm, he is likely to suffer an upset today. He has participated in 17 races until now, winning three of them and finishing runner up on the same number of times. In addition to that, he has also
secured the third spot once, which suggests that he has the ability to fight for top positions consistently.
The four-year-old gelding has been doing a terrific job over the past couple of events, thus he is carrying very good momentum. He finished runner up in his most recent outing and has the ability to make an improvement today.
The Bill Turner’s trainee will be partnered by Jake Payne, who just has a few victories to his name and is not likely to attract a lot of bets in his favour.
However, Cahala Dancer seems to be in excellent flow right now, as she secured two back to back runners up positions recently. She has never won any event out of 10 attempts, but has the ability to do so today.
The four-year-old filly has finished runner up on three occasions in total, which shows that she is fully capable of challenging her rivals. She will need some luck to work in her favour though, as some of the other runners are also in good form.
Cahala Dancer will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Kieran O'Neill, who has a decent record at this level.
