Cahill also managed to score a goal in the game, but he still went on to state that Hazard was the stand out performer in the game.
"I thought [Hazard] was absolutely fantastic tonight," Cahill said.
"The other day against Wigan obviously he was great again but tonight I thought he was special."
However, Cahill went on to praise Chelsea’s opponents and admitted that they really gave the Blues a run for their money.
"It was a superb cross and a great header, but I've got to be tighter," Cahill stated.
"It happened again about five or 10 minutes later and I got across, I should have done that first time but I'll learn from that. I thought we kept plugging away even though we were 2-1 down and there were some great performances out there.”
Chelsea are looking quite solid as a unit, but they often went on to make some mistakes on the pitch, which sees them concede quite a few goals.
