Cai Shen expected to finish first in Conditions Stakes
Cai Shen is expected to unleash a competitive run and clinch top spot in the Weatherbys Bloodstock Insurance Conditions Stakes that will go down at Lingfield on Saturday, May 12.
On the standard course of 1 mile and 2 furlongs, the Richard Hannon-trained veteran colt will face half a dozen rivals including Beachfire, Circumvent, Kings Gambit, Lost In The Moment, Retrieve and World Domination. The Class 3 contest containing £8,410
in the prize purse will start at 3:45 (GMT).
The young and talented colt possesses a terrific track record. The four-year-old runner has won 4 of his total 12 starts so far since debuting in August 2010.
The son of Iffraaj out of Collada delivered outstanding performances in his last two races. After elegantly winning Coopers Marquees Conditions Stakes on September 7, 2011, the maverick sprinter moved on to get a runner-up rank in the very next outing on
March 24, 2012.
At the moment, the brilliant runner is carrying immense momentum and fighting spirit that will help him thrive today. If Cai Shen manages to read the ground properly, he will have up to 90 percent chances to finish first.
Among the other runners, Lost In The Moment and World Domination are likely to perform well in the Stakes.
Lost In The Moment is leading the betting market. His last victory came in January 2011; however, the Saeed Bin Suroor-trained bay gelding demonstrated some impressive recitals during the last year. Following two consecutive runner-up ranks in the month
of June, he stepped ahead to grab a 3rd and a 2nd spot in July. The Irish horse finished 6th against 22 rivals in his last start on November 1.
On the other hand, World Domination started his career with a classic triumph on April 16, 2011. Sir Henry Cecil’s bay colt finished 6th in his last outing on April 28, 2012.
Though Cai Shen will have to face some arduous challenges in the race but he is likely to carry the day in the end. Good luck to him.
