Cairanne determined to break maiden in Racecourse Handicap
Cairanne is fully determined to break her maiden by winning the Conferences At Great Yarmouth Racecourse Handicap at Yarmouth track on Thursday, May 10. The action will commence at 7:55 (GMT).
On the heavy course of 1 mile, 2 furlongs and 21 yards, the Tom Keddy-trained bay filly will compete against Nicholas Pocock, Director’s Dream, Avon Supreme, Crabbies Gold, Pindar, Danceyourselfdizzy and Give Or Take. The winner will be awarded a cash prize
of £1,617.
Cairanne possesses a lot of professional experience under her belt; however, she is yet winless despite having run for 18 times since the beginning of her career.
With the dawn of 2012, the four-year-old veteran runner gained immense momentum and spirit. After getting three runner-up ranks in a row from January 19 to February 10, the fantastic filly moved on to finish 2nd in a big race on March 23.
The brilliant daughter of High Chaparral out of Celestial Choir elegantly grabbed a third against 11 competitors on March 29. She again earned a runner-up position in her second last start on April 16. She finished 6th in the subsequent outing.
Now, Cairanne is well-set to make a big impact in the Handicap and break her maiden. If she keeps her stamina intact, her chances to thrive can be as high as 90 percent.
Each one of the Avon Supreme and Nicholas Pocock will also struggle hard for success.
Avon Supreme has 16 races to her name. The g*y Kelleway-trained filly has also been winless to date. Like Cairanne, she too delivered some eye-catching performances during the last four months. After finishing 6th in each of the two consecutive
races during January, she attained a runner-up position on March 9. The maverick runner grabbed 4th spot against 11 runners in her last outing on May 4.
Nicholas Pocock has won 1 of his total 32 starts. Ian McInnes’ bay gelding has been in good form since the last few months. He can prove to be a big threat for both of Cairanne and Avon Supreme.
The battle will be greatly fierce but Cairanne is likely to manoeuvre success to her favour. Good luck to all the contestants.
