Cairns Solo to notch up the competition for the William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes on 28th February
The Grade A3 William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes are to be held on Tuesday, 28th February at Newcastle over 480 metres flat. Six hounds are to reel in for the wire as the winner is to be awarded the £111 prize money.
Cairns Solo, Ballymac Kewell’s three-year-old brindle son out of b***h Cairns Cheer, has strong credentials for pulling the race his way. Out of the six races that he participated in, Cairns Solo has won thrice and has been placed in the remaining attempts.
He glorified his record with a win that was the result of his 480 metres start on 5th January at Newcastle. The three-year-old was through the wire in 30.75 seconds, leading by ½ a length. Stormy Paddy was the runner up for the race.
Then on 31st January, Cairns Solo won another 480 metres race by clocking the track distance in 29.77 seconds and leading by an amazing 5 ¼ lengths. He was soon followed by Gan On Stella.
Cairns Solo was entered as a 5/2 collective favourite in the Grade A4 Bet On Your Mobile At Williamhill.Com on 9th February. He finished the race third against the other collective favourite, Ludworth Jacob.
On 23rd February, he finally recorded his third win of the new season by winning the Grade A4 480 metres flat at Newcastle. Entered as a 7/4 favourite, Cairns Solo was on the other side of the wire in 29.72 seconds, escaping Rhincrew Hannah by
a mere shoulder’s distance.
Trained by J. Fenwick, if Cairns Solo sustains his performance then he will get the race going for him today.
Humble Pie, Droopys Scolari’s two-year-old blue son out of b***h Pearly Queen, has raced a good eleven times during the 2012 season. He got a chance to strike victory thrice.
On 10th January, Humble Pie won the Grade A6 Bet On Your Mobile @ Williamhill.Com Stakes at Newcastle by racing through the 480 metres track in 30.03 seconds.
He won the Grade A5 480 metres flat on 14th February at Newcastle clocking the 480 metres distance in 29.89 seconds. His last start was a victory too, on 22nd February, Humble Pie won the Grade A4 William Hill Supporting Racing Post
TV Stakes at Newcastle.
It took him 29.66 seconds to reach the other end of the wire.
