Cake ideas ? [easy 10 points]?

Question

For my 13th birthday im having a willy wonka themed party.

My cake ; i want it too be fun ; colorful & maybe depicting a scene from the moviee.

i was thinking maybe having a chocalate river & a water fall.

but i dont know waht too do too show it;s a willy wonka cake.

my mom suggested printing out a picture of the oompa loompa

s dancing making it into tht sugaryy thing & putting tht on the cakee.

doese anyone have an ideas ?

10 points for most creative answer & detailed one too.

please explain however to make your creation or wahtever.

First of all, if I were you I would make it three layers. Then you will have plenty of room to load it up with candy. Use licorice ropes, pepermints, candy buttons, and any other candy that is colorful. For the chocolate waterfall, you should put it down the front of your cake. You could put like a chocolate bowl at the bottom to catch all of the chocolate "water". You could make the chocolate "water" out of chocolate syrup. I like the idea of the oompa loompas. You could line them up on the sides of the river. Oh and of course you need a Willy Wonka  figuine. He should be on top.

You could make a simple, awesome cake by making the whole cake look like a wonka bar. You could paint it with icing to look like the wrapper. You could even have it look like it's got a corner pulled back and use some gold paper as the corner of a Golden Ticket. Or make the whole cake a Golden Ticket for that matter.

You could also shape the cake like a big top hat without too much work. A 9x13 cake should give you enough room to cut it into shape and decorate it into a very fancy hat. I personally like the Gene Wilder purple hat, but it's your party.

It would take more work, but you could also decorate your cake into the room with the chocolate river. You can get frosting attatchments that will let you make grass, you can put candies on toothpicks to make candy trees, and of course some fudgey icing for the river itself.

People are generally impressed with cakes. Choose something that is going to be fun for you to do without becomming too much work.

Hi Sweetie,

First off, I bet your professional Cake Decorator already has great ideas...  make it a tall cake and decorated with lots of cool candy that you like.  Your mom sounds more creative than I at this point..
