Cal Crutchlow attains first podium of his MotoGP Career in Brno Grand Prix – MotoGP news
Cal Crutchlow of Monster Yamaha Tech3 attains the first podium, at third position, of his career in the Czech Republic Grand Prix held last Sunday.
He said that it feels great to make it to the first podium of his MotoGP career. He added that this was the perfect weekend for him because, earlier he signed a contract with Monster Yamaha Tech3 and later achieved his best qualifying results.
Crutchlow said, “It feels fantastic to finally score my first podium in MotoGP. This has been the perfect weekend for me because I signed a new contract with the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 Team and then scored my best ever qualifying result yester day.”
Furthermore, he said that he is hopeful that he was able to make it to some of the expectations of his team. He added that it was not an easy race because he was on his own for the most of the race and it was a test of his concentration.
The British rider said, “So to cap it all off with a podium is a great feeling and hopefully I've already gone a little way to repaying the faith Tech 3, Yamaha and Monster have shown in me. It wasn't an easy race because I was on my own for most of it and
it was a real test of concentration.”
His teammate Andrea Dovizioso said that he was confident that he would be able to fight for the podium but there is no doubt that the British rider exhibited better performance and he congratulates him for his achievement.
Dovizioso added that Crutchlow had more corner speed than him. He said that Crutchlow lost to him on the exit but he gained more than he had lost.
Furthermore, he said that they were able to make it among the top four contenders again but this result tells that there is still some room for improvement. Besides, he said that they have collected a lot of data and they will analyze how to further improve
their speed.
