Cal Crutchlow of Monster Yamaha Tech3 team is excited to debut at Indianapolis – MotoGP news
Monster Yamaha Tech3 rider Cal Crutchlow is anxiously waiting to make his race debut at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
In his rookie season, this will be the last unfamiliar venue for him to experience.
Although he is fast at learning the new circuits and laying fast laps but it still hampers the optimum performance level. The Brit also suffered a collarbone fracture during Silverstone weekend and has only scored four points since his comeback.
Cal Crutchlow said, “I am really looking forward to going to Indy because I've heard so much about what a fantastic facility the Motor Speedway is. But without any previous experience of riding there, I'm anticipating another difficult challenge.”
The Brit has been undergoing an issue on his Tech3 M1. He is lacking front-end traction which caused him to return to garage in couple of races. This has also disappointed the Tech3 team.
The moment is due to bring a better change in his premier class season. Considering his three DNFs and only four points in past five rounds, he is determined to get good results and add a new venue to his experience.
During the post-race test at Brno, the British rider worked hard to get along his Tech3 M1. He also maximised the adaptation of his riding style aboard his machine. He claims that Yamaha is a competitive machine in the class and the whole squad is working
hard to get good results.
Crutchlow said, “The test after the Brno race was really beneficial because we could work on the bike a lot and I could focus on adapting my style a lot more. We've got some more ideas to help us in the future, so hopefully a good result this weekend will
help set me up for a strong finish to the season.”
At present, Cal Crutchlow sits 15th in the world championship points’ table and is keen to improve his rank starting from the Indy GP. Let’s see if he manages to put up a good show at the IMS and improves his championship
standings.
