Caladesi island from Clearwater Beach?

Has anyone here ever been there?I'm going to be staying at shephards resort in clearwater beach and i wanna know how far a boat ride it is to get to caladesi and also who runs the boats that go to and from and how much it costs,

I've attempted to go-you have to go to Honeymoon Island and pay $5.00 per car to get into the park.  There are signs that point you to the parking area and boat that will take you to Caladesi.  The boat picks up every 30 minutes and was $9.00 per person.  The reason I say I've attempted to go is because we got there fairly late in the day, the next boat wouldn't be for another half hour and there was a long line and I wasn't sure how many people the boat held.  So, I've been close!  Honeymoon Island Beach is nice, but it was very crowded-I went on a weekend, so obviously it would be.  Caladesi was actually picked as the #1 beach in the U.S. and I would love to try to go again!  Luckily I live in Orlando, so for me, it could almost be a day trip.  Have fun!
