Calas de mallorca?

as anyone been to calas de mallorca if so what did you think of it

Hello there.

Yes, I've been to Calas De Mallorca many times. It's

on Majorcas east coast, and ideal if you're looking for a fairly low key resort  for relaxing on the beach.

The three beaches that make up Calas de Mallorca are Cala Antena, Cala Domingos Grans and Cala Domingos Petis. They all host the range of watersports you'd expect on a beach holiday in Spain.

You'll find plenty shops bars and restaurants backing the beaches. There's also music & entertainment in bars or at the hotels. Try the friendly Clubhotel Riu Tropical, it has heaps of entertainment as well as being right on the beach.

Calas De Mallorca is around an hour to an hour and a half from Palma airport but is still a great base for exploring- Especially to north of the island for Puerto Pollensa.

Porto Cristo and the caves of drach aren't too far away either.

Venture inland and you'll discover Felanitx. Go on a Sunday morning and you'll find one of the best markets on the island.

They'll expect you to haggle for their goods, but there are some great bargains on local pottery and the like.

Or, if you go up or down the coast, you'll find many other tempting beaches nearby, like Cala Romantica and Cala Murada.

The accomodation is mainly 3 star hotels and apartments. As I said, I like the Riu ClubTropical best, but have also stayed in The Sol Mastines and The Valparaiso out at Cala Murada.

I would say that for a couple not looking for loud nightlife or a family, then it's fine, but definatley not for those looking for lots and lots of bars & clubs- they're just not there.
