Approximate the area under the graph of f(x)= e^(x/5) +4 from x=0 to x=5 and above the x-axis with endpoints with n=6.

  1. Here's the actual answer: 20+5(e^(1)-e^(0)) or 28.591409142295


  2. Well, first integrate f(x) then plug in the x=5 value and subtract it from the x=0 value of the integral.

    How hard can that be? You can integrate e^(x/5) can't you?

    Don't believe someone's direct answer.  Use is a a check of your own work.  Teachers don't like direct answers in math.  They want to see how you got there...
