  1. first convert the volume of gas to liters

    7.3 x 10^3 mL = 7.3 L

    use ideal gas Law PV=nRT

    STP is Standard Temperature and Pressure

    Temperature = 273.15 degrees Kelvin

    Pressure is 1 atmosphere

    P = 1atm

    T = 273.15 degrees K

    n = no. of moles

    V = 7.3 L

    R = 0.0821

    solve for n

    n = (1 atm*7.3 L)/((0.0821L*atm/(mol*K))*273.15 K) = 0.325 mol
