  2. Each letter grade you received correlates to a number

    A = 4

    B = 3

    C = 2

    D = 1

    E/F = 0

    GT/AP classes = 5 pts for an "A" & regular pts for all other grades

    Honors classes - 4.5 for an "A" & regular pts for all other grades

    So take every letter grade you've received and give it a number... Add the numbers up and then divide by the number of classes to give you your GPA. A weighted GPA is one that includes the extra points for GT/AP and honors classes. Your unweighted GPA is your GPA without the extra points added.
