Calculating temperature difference?

it has the final temperature for example at 100.0 C and the starting temperature at 0.0 C, would it be Tf-Ti = 0.0 C? and how would I find the Heat Energy (H) in Calories?

  1. the temp diff is 100 - 0 = 100 degrees celcius

    The equation for heat energy in joules is

    Heat energy = specific heat of substance * grams of substance * change in temp

    1 joule = 0.239005736 calories
