I need to calculate the size of a motor shaft. It has a tapered shaft of 25mm diameter with a 1:5 taper 19.5mm long

  1. I assume you mean the terminating dia. of the shaft.25/5=5mm per mm

    19.5/5=3.9mm at the terminus.
