Need advice with workings included as I am not good in technical area of finance, being a market newbie.

Fund A -- Invested $ 5000 with expected return of 6.2% with a beta of 0.95

Fund B -- Invested $ 7800 with expected return of 4.8% with a beta of 1.48

Fund C -- Invested $ 8200 with expected return of 7.1% with a beta of 1.10

Fund D -- Invested $ 5300 with expected return of 5.9% with a beta of 0.70

How do I calculate the expected return of the portfolio?

And also the calculation of the portfolio's beta?

Regards

Theresa

  1. expected return of fund A will be 5000 x 6.2% = $310

    fund B 7800 x 4.8% = $374.4

    fund C 8200 x 7.1% = $582.2

    fund D 5300 x 5.9% = $ 312.7

    not sure about portfolio part.
