Calculators on SAT/PSAT?

There's always a question like "Did you use your calculator in this section?" Why do they ask that? Do you get more points if you mark that you did NOT use a calculator?

  1. they just want to know if you can do it in your head. to test how easy or hard the question was for you. so the next time they have more ideas  


  2. They want to know probably just to possibly change the test in the future. It won't affect your grade. They also want to know what type of calculator you use sometimes.

  3. I took the SAT and PSAT, as well as SAT II...and never had to answer that question.

  4. No answer truthfully, if colleges cared if u used a calculator then they wouldn let u...plus the test is a lot harder without it so just use it anyways and admit to it
