are there a huge difference between calculus one varible (salas) 10th E and 9 th E?

  1. I'm assuming you mean is there a big difference between the 10th and 9th editions of the textbook written by Salas?

    I know nothing about that book, but one thing that will be certain is there will be some homework problems that are different, added, deleted, etc., so if the teacher assigns you problems 1-25, then you'll probably have two or three problems in that group that are different in your 9th edition versus the required 10th edition.  You'll be spending a lot of time photocopying someone else's book for the proper homework problems.

    I know books are expensive (my degree was electrical engineering, and every semester all the technology books were brand new and changed all the time, so I could never buy used books).  But I think you should spring for it.
