Caleb Green, Mirza Teletovic, Ersan Ilyasova: Top players from Euroleague, Oct 26 games – Part 2
The Turkish Airlines Euroleague has entered its second week. On Wednesday, October 26, in the game 2 of group C, Belgacom Spirou managed to steal the victory against Anadolu Efes 80-79 in a nail biter, whereas Caja Laboral continued
to show their dominance in Group A as they defeated Bennet Cantu 81-69.
Here is an overview of some of the outstanding performances from those games.
Anadolu Efes Vs Belgacom Spirou
Caleb Green
After putting an average performance in the opener against Real Madrid, Caleb Green came up with an outstanding performance this time round. He scored 18 points including 4-of-6 from three point range and pulled down 4 rebounds.
Justin Hamilton
Justin was not the highest scorer of the game with 12 points, 7 assists and three rebounds but it was his heroics in the last quarter that won the game for Belgacom Spirou. With his team just two points ahead, Hamilton calmly slipped
in two free throws to neutralize a late three from Efes.
Demond Mallet
Demon supported Caleb well. His 14 points and 5 rebounds in the game were vital to Belgacom’s win.
Ersan Ilyasova
24 year old forward Ersan was excellent in the game against Belgacom; however he could not win his team the game. He scored game high 21 points along with 6 rebounds shooting 8 for 12 from free throw line.
Tarence Kinsey
Tarence scored 14 points, dished 2 assists and pulled down 6 rebounds for Efes.
Caja Laboral Vs Bennet Cantu
Mirza Teletovic:
Mirza Teletovic was without an ambiguity, the player of the game. He scored a game high 22 points knocking down 3 for 6 from three point range and 5 from 10 from inside the paint. Mirza was sensational in the last quarter and turned
the game in the favour of his team by scoring 12 points.
Milko Bjelica
Milko Bjelica was the second most prominent player of the night. He scored at crucial times in the game and ended with 17 points.
Vladimir Micov
Micov scored 14 points, dragged 4 rebounds and dished out 5 assists. Unfortunately, he was not offered much help from his team mates, other than Marko Scekic.
Marko Scekic
He was the second highest scorer from the losing side. In nearly 25 minutes on the court, he managed to score 13 points on a 3 for 5 shooting from the free throw line and 5 for 8 from the two point range.
