Question:

California Car window tinting ticket..Help!?

The officer gave me car window tinting tickets( front side windows) and this is my 2nd time for tinting tix.First time was fix-it tix, but this time was a ticket to the court.. I didn't know that they would give me non- fix it tix, and I am assuming that this can't be converted to fix-it tix.. I know I have to correct my violation, but what's the best way for me to deal with this? Go to the court, plead guilty and pay there? or contact court to find out the bai( so automatically pleading guilty w/o showing up at the court? ) and leave the history on my record. Does this make a differece on my final record which method that I choose ?? If anyone have suggestions, pls post! thanks!

  1. did you know the cop has a computer in his car?

and when he ran your plates he noticed you had a fix it on file that you obviously ignored, for some reason that really upsets them guys, get your illegal window tint off and sign off on the fix it and hope you get a judge in a good mood, or just pay the ticket, loose the tint and drop the cell phone

  2. Why not just obey the law. Or are you better than everyone else. I hope they fine the c**p out of you. I have never been in a mess like that as I found out a long time ago it is better to obey the law than break it.

  3. If you fixed it the first time, and then retinted the windows, you can be held in contempt of court.

Why would someone do something stupid like fix something that was illegal, and then make it illegal again?

Un-tint the windows, pay your fine and keep the windows clear.

If everybody else in CA can do it so can you!

  4. well when you got the first one you should have fix the windows that was what the ticket stand  for fix it thus the name.... if you had fix it you would have had to show that it was fix and then you walk a ay but now you have to go to court and show them you had it fix and you will have to pay a fine... so costing you more money

  5. First time you get a fix it.  It you don't, and get stopped again, you get a citation.  Should have fixed it the first time.  They aren't just looking to harass people, windows tinted too dark are a definite safety hazard.

So correct the problem and pay the fine.
