California ONLY-left turn at intersection question?

Okay, I really need this question answered because I'm taking the test really soon. When I come to an intersection where I am making a left turn and there is a solid green light, I know I have to yield, but will I be marked down for going into the intersection to wait, or am I supposed to wait behind the limit line until it is clear? Please only give me answers if you REALLY know the answer. Like what you did when you took the test and what happened in this situations. Thank you!

  1. in california you must be able to clear an intersection before the light turns red, going straight through or turning. wait behind the limit line and that way if traffice does not clear before the light changes, no red light ticket (and no fail)

  2. You will need to wait behind the line, you are never to wait in the intersection at all.

  3. "Solid Green- A green light means "GO" but first give the right of way to any vehicle, bicyclist, or pedestrian in the intersection. If you are turning left, make the turn only if you have enough space to complete the turn before any oncoming vehicle, bicyclist, or pedestrian becomes a hazard. Do not enter the intersection if you cannot get completely across before the light turns red. If you block the intersection, you can be cited."

In order to be most correct, you should wait behind the line until it is safe to enter and complete the turn before the light turns red.

HINT: before you take the driving  test, ask an examiner.
