  1. I've lived in california my whole life and i'm going to have to say u calif santa cruz, humboldt su. There both next to the water which is good. There good school.

  2. UCSB, Loyola, and Whittier are very good schools.

  3. USC and UCLA

  4. I went to UCSC and loved it. You can't find a more scenic campus, Santa Cruz is pleasant, and in my department at least (politics) I thought the teaching was quite good. Santa Barbara and Monterey are also both beautiful locations.

Some other schools in CA--St. Mary's College, the Claremont Colleges.

  5. Well, I'll attempt to help, I'll list the colleges I personally sent my ts to, after basically researching every college in Cali. I'm not into state or private schools so much, just a btw :) I happen to love choices.

    -UC San Diego

    -UC Berkeley

-UC Santa Barbara [This is the #9 party school in the US.]

    -UC Santa Cruz

    -UCLA

    -UC Riverside

    -Cal Poly

    -University of San Diego

    -UC Merced

    -UC Irvine

    -UC Davis

    -USC

    -Stanford

    -National University

    -Vanguard University of Southern California

    -University of the Pacific

    -University of La Verne

    -University of Redlands

    -Harvey Mudd College

    -Pitzer College

    -Whittier College

    -San Diego State

    -Fresno State

  6. UCLA.

  7. Humboldt is really really a hippie school...lots of tree-huggers and pot smokers...so if you're not into that, don't go there.

Occidental is very nice. I went with my cousin to look there.

You could also check out Pepperdine and Pitzer (part of the prestigious Claremont McKenna consortium).

On your list...I would recommend UCSB, Loyola Marymount, (as I said before) Occidental, and U Redlands.
