Question:

California commercial drivers license?

My friend has a CDL from Arizona and wants to get one in California, does anyone know if he will have to take a driving test or written test, or will he just be able to switch without testing?

  1. as long it has not exp. they will just issue him one for cal. i have a class a cdl in fla. transfered from va.every state will reconize a cdl.i hope this helps


  2. Has he moved from AZ to CA, and set up a permanent residence there?  If so, it should be just a matter of paying the fee for a California license.  He will have to turn his AZ license, because it against US Federal law to have more than one driver's license at a time.  

    Personally, I would think hard about changing to California, because once he has a CA license, he will have to start paying CA taxes!
