California driver's / learner's permit?

Can someone who has taken it recently tell me, how difficult is the written test to get a permit (California)? I have a few tests from 2004 but I'm pretty sure they've made it more difficult since then. Also, what are key points I should know? I've already read the whole drivers ed DMV book... I'd like to know what I should review and reread. Thank you so much, danke, gracias!

The written test is really easy. The questions they ask are exactly the same as the ones they have already released (the 2004 test questions for example). Basically memorize the answers that you have now and you'll be fine.
