California fires. Has anyone ever tried this?

Movie studios have those huge fans for when they want to create a sand storm. Has anyone ever tried placing huge fans in front of an advancing fire to blow it back towards the burned area. If all the fuel has already been consumed, the fire should go out.

dude thats just makes the fire grow in reality thats a smart idea but that would blow up all the dirt which would make the fire grow same with all the twigs

It would only make things worse, fires love wind and will advance faster if winds get any higher.They are doing the best they can.

Lol dude above the fire cant burn backwards over the area it burned even if it blew up sticks.

But how will you get the fans all the way up there with power source, still it would have worked
